Jake and I have gotten ourselves into another project that is much bigger and much more involved than it looked. When we moved into our house, there was a huge fish pond. It was actually an old hot tub that was converted, and surrounded by large rocks, and included the fountain and the fish!

When we first moved in, we said that we would never take it down because we loved the fountain and thought it was so cool. Then we said we would have to take it down when we had kids so they wouldn't fall in. And now we decided that we wanted to do it NOW. So we started taking the rocks down. They are VERY HEAVY, and there are a LOT more rocks than we thought. We have run out of places to put the rocks where they won't kill the grass or scratch the patio. We managed to get most of the top layer down, as well as this corner in the picture above. I am glad to see that the concrete goes all the way under it, but getting to it is quite a chore!! Jake is ready to pay someone to finish it! The problem is that we found someone to take the hot tub shell, and they are going to come get it Sunday after church. That means we have to finish moving the rocks by then. We really should have given ourselves more time to do this!
